Objectives:

The aim of the study was to investigate factors leading to motorcyclists’ accidents.

Methodology:

National prospective survey of over 4000 riders in the United Kingdom.

Key Findings:

  • Authors concluded that youth played a much greater role than inexperience, and accidents were attributable to a particular pattern of behaviour, i.e. willingness to break the law and violate the rules of safe riding.
